For freedom Christ set you free

Galatians 5:1

Stop doing and just be for a week. Jesus commended Mary for being at His feet while scolding Martha for being busy (doing). – Luke 10:38-42

The only response to grace is gratefulness; otherwise it’s no longer grace.

It’s not duty, obligation, obedience, or any action/decision/work.

It’s not thinking, “Oh you did this for me God now let me do something for you”.

No no! Any urge to do something or return the favor indicates indebtedness and cancels grace. What could you possibly do that isn’t already granted to you in the above I Am’s??

Another way to state it:
We think we do work for God; that’s backwards!
God works in us; we’re His workmanship.

Romans 6:14 – For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:18 – Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Romans 7:6 – But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Romans 8:2 – For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Gal 5:18 – But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Prayers for today (it’s not deliverance from daily sins):

Eph 1:17-19 – That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

Col 1:9-10 – For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God…

How to walk? Under law or grace? Can’t be both!

You’re dead to your sin and all aspects of it, so don’t even think about it!

Be like Kevin O’Leary on Shark Tank when he rejects a deal, “you’re dead to me”.

Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Gal 3:1-3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

As far as what I have to know/do/walk, it is simply this:

Gal 5:16 – This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Twice elsewhere Paul says, walk worthy. Grace lures us to righteous thoughts, actions, and fruit!

Beware teachers/pastors who want to put you back under the law by focusing on your sin:

Gal 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.
